Senior Software Development Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee automated testing strategies, framework development, and quality assurance for software platform upkeep and hypervisor enhancements across ARM and x86 computing infrastructures.

• Investigate, recommend, and implement open-source testing frameworks.

• Develop continuous validation suites for backend services, APIs, and orchestration tools.

• Create scalable, high-performance automated testing frameworks and harnesses for hypervisor upgrades, REST APIs, UI, and system CLI tools.

• Design, scale, and refine CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, automated regression, and performance testing.

• Automate functional, integration, performance, and resilience testing for virtual machine lifecycle operations and comprehensive maintenance tasks across fleets.

• Construct SQL schema queries and state-tracking tests within relational databases.

• Ensure data integrity, hardware monitoring, and automated fallback mechanisms.

• Collaborate with developers, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and datacenter operations teams to evaluate architectures, enhance testing systems, and eliminate quality bottlenecks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in software development, quality engineering, or backend automation.

• Formal education in Computer Science or equivalent disciplines.

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Familiarity with Go programming language.

• Experience with Linux/Bash scripting for backend automation, system tools, and testing suites.

• Proficient in using Pytest, unittest, or nosetests.

• Experience in designing modular, maintainable API, CLI, and end-to-end integration test harnesses.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps integration.

• Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Advanced understanding of Git workflows.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems.

• Expertise in relational databases, SQL schema queries, state tracking, and analytical methods for data evaluation.
