Senior Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and provide support for Hyperion Planning, Financial Management (HFM), Essbase, Financial Reporting (FR), and Smart View solutions.

• Create and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Business teams to collect reporting and planning requirements.

• Execute data integration, validation, reconciliation, and financial data analysis.

• Enhance reporting processes and automate manual financial reporting tasks.

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles.

• Diagnose system issues and deliver user support for Hyperion and Power BI platforms.

• Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance, security, and audit standards.

• Team up with cross-functional groups to advance reporting modernization and continuous improvement efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical experience with Oracle Hyperion Business Tools.

• Strong background in Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Essbase, Financial Reporting Studio, and Smart View.

• More than 3 years of experience creating Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.

• Proficient in Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and report optimization.

• Experience in integrating financial data from ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, or comparable platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes.

• Experience in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience in gathering business requirements and converting them into technical solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.

• Preferred: Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud (EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS, PCMCS).

• Preferred: Experience integrating Hyperion solutions with cloud-based data platforms.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or hybrid analytics environments.

• Preferred: Knowledge of financial consolidation, close management, and regulatory reporting.

• Preferred: Experience with Power BI Premium, Fabric, and advanced analytics features.

• Preferred: Exposure to Alteryx, Informatica, ODI, Data Factory, or similar integration tools.

• Preferred: Understanding of data governance, SOX controls, and audit compliance requirements.

• Preferred: Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.

• Preferred: Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Oracle Hyperion / EPM Certifications, PMP, or Agile Certifications.

• Preferred: Experience supporting large-scale enterprise finance transformation projects.
