This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Assist in the formulation and execution of software product strategies along with the VP of Software.
• Design, enhance, and develop DATUM, which serves as the company’s Warehouse Execution System and Warehouse Control System (WES/WCS).
• Provide comprehensive full-stack design and development within an event-driven microservices architecture.
• Create backend services, integrations, AI functionalities, and user interfaces utilizing contemporary open-source frameworks.
• Lead the design and development efforts for customer projects as well as research and development initiatives using Agile methodologies for development and testing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and members of the Software Delivery team.
• Facilitate integrated system commissioning at customer sites, which entails approximately 15% travel.
• Contribute to development, implementation, support, and IT-related activities as necessary.
• Assess organizational performance data and assist in adapting team practices accordingly.
• Remain updated on relevant technologies and industry advancements.
• Represent DCS and the Software team with professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
• A minimum of five years of experience in industrial software development.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in open-source software frameworks and associated development tools.
• Comfortable using the Linux command line and working with operating system services and configurations.
• Skilled in modern integrated development environments, Git for version control, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15% to assist with customer commissioning.
• Capability to mentor others and foster growth within the Software team.
• Strong communication skills and effective collaboration with customers, management, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
