Senior Software Developer, Post-Trade Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and implement post-trade automation solutions across depositories for both new and existing products.

• Participate in technical design choices that influence the post-trade processing workflow.

• Guide developers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and real-time feedback.

• Leverage AI to enhance development processes and innovate within daily team operations.

• Collaborate with Securities Operations, Product Management, and engineering teams to identify business and technical requirements.

• Assist in clearing, settlement, and inventory reconciliation across various external depositories.

• Develop tools that enhance the efficiency of Securities Operations.

• Report directly to the Software Development Manager, Post-Trade Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend software development experience at a senior level, specifically with Ruby on Rails.

• Proven ability to design and implement complex automation systems or data pipelines in a production setting.

• Comfort in operating high-stakes, precision-oriented systems where accuracy and auditability are crucial.

• Experience in mentoring fellow engineers through code reviews, pairing activities, or immediate feedback.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to interact directly with operations, product, and engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Java or Kotlin, React, Oracle, Postgres, Kubernetes, or AWS infrastructure is considered a plus.

• Previous experience in FinTech or exposure to ledgers, brokerage, custody, clearing, or settlement systems is advantageous.

• Background in a regulated or compliance-focused engineering environment is a plus.

• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

• Must be a permanent resident residing in Canada.
