Senior Software Developer, Build Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create containerized development environments across numerous services.

• Develop verification systems for AI-native development that deliver reliable answers swiftly.

• Enhance the detection of test flakiness, test selection, and actionable failure reports.

• Revitalize core libraries and CLI tools that support the microservices architecture.

• Automate the setup of developer machines and replace outdated tools with safer, auditable options.

• Construct backend mocking solutions and facilitate isolated testing of asynchronous, event-driven workflows in temporary environments.

• Establish and evaluate operational excellence through automated service scorecards.

• Offer insights into dependency management, monitoring, and scalability.

• Influence the developer journey from onboarding to continuous code submissions.

• Assist an engineering team utilizing Ruby, Python, Kotlin, and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with and guide fellow developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development as part of a team, ideally in a platform-focused environment.

• More than 7 years of experience with Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Kotlin.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining internal libraries, frameworks, or tools utilized by other engineering teams.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development and coding agents in real production settings.

• Experience in building with LLMs and assessing the accuracy of generated outputs.

• Strong interest in fostering a fast, dependable, and streamlined developer experience.

• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentorship.

• Proficiency in using metrics to identify potential improvements and measure impact.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Must reside permanently in Canada.
