Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications, automation, and integrations utilizing Python, JavaScript, Google Apps Script, APIs, cloud services, and contemporary web frameworks.

• Transition between projects, teams, and business sectors to gather context and provide valuable capabilities within brief engagements.

• Collaborate with government stakeholders to establish requirements, suggest feasible options, refine designs, and ensure solutions fulfill operational needs.

• Create data-driven tools, dashboards, and interfaces that simplify complex information.

• Incorporate AI and automation functionalities where they add value.

• Deliver functional software within short Agile sprints, encompassing testing, user acceptance, production support, and the modernization of existing tools.

• Ensure that applications comply with accessibility, security, and federal regulations.

• Document work adequately so that others can support and enhance applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• 12 or more years of experience in software development.

• A Master's degree with 10 years of experience is also acceptable.

• Proven full-stack capabilities across front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, databases, and deployment.

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.

• Experience in building applications that integrate with cloud services, enterprise data platforms, and third-party systems.

• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting in production environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with customers.

• A proven ability to learn new tools and technologies as project requirements evolve.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain federal suitability, a government-issued PIV credential, and necessary system access.
