Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create a network management service that monitors millions of devices.

• Design robust, scalable, high-quality, and fault-tolerant microservice architectures.

• Implement and manage containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes.

• Develop and execute communication protocols for highly scalable distributed systems.

• Create reliable and efficient collector code to be deployed across tens of thousands of customer locations.

• Enhance the solution by leveraging expertise in networking devices and protocols.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to deliver software components that prioritize customer needs.

• Utilize AI-driven techniques, intelligent tooling, automation, and data-informed debugging to enhance scalability, reliability, and delivery speed.

• Mentor and guide junior and intermediate team members.

• Investigate new technologies and propose enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in developing high-quality code and architectures, ideally with Golang.

• Experience in designing and developing microservices.

• Familiarity with cloud computing, preferably AWS.

• Proven experience in building reliable, highly available, and scalable software utilizing Kafka.

• Extensive technical, hands-on engineering background in pragmatically using AI, writing production code, debugging distributed systems, and adhering to system design principles.

• Proficient in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for effective testing and deployment.

• Enthusiasm for mentoring junior and intermediate team members.

• Experience in researching new technologies and providing recommendations.

• Commitment to following processes and suggesting improvements.

• A desire to collaboratively develop elegant, scalable, and modern code.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with React, GraphQL, Scala, Go, C++, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
