Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and established software engineering methodologies.

• Create modern web applications using React, TypeScript, reusable components, responsive layouts, and accessible interaction designs.

• Develop and utilize REST APIs following an API-first strategy.

• Maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and manage error handling.

• Engineer modular, maintainable solutions leveraging microservices, along with object-oriented and event-driven design patterns.

• Employ Node.js for lightweight services, backend-for-frontend components, integrations, or development tools.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries.

• Create and implement integrations with both internal and external systems through REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and various integration methodologies.

• Containerize applications and contribute to cloud-based deployment strategies, configuration management, and maintaining environment consistency.

• Build and sustain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines featuring automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployment processes.

• Instrument applications with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable error reporting.

• Troubleshoot functional and production-related issues.

• Enhance application performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other engineers through design discussions, code reviews, planning, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of full-stack software development experience, including management of production applications.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring technologies, particularly with Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security, and automated testing.

• Solid frontend development proficiency using Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management, and modern testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with Node.js for lightweight services, integrations, build tools, or supporting components.

• Proven track record in designing REST APIs, microservices, and maintainable applications within distributed environments.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience in crafting efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and lead client-facing workshops.

• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure API design principles.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.

• Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) application or platform integration is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon Connect is advantageous.

• Experience in CX, contact center, voice infrastructure, or communications platforms is beneficial.

• Understanding of forecasting, scheduling, adherence, routing, agent desktop, digital channels, or related operational concepts is a plus.

• Experience in enterprise systems integration is a plus.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions is a bonus.
