Senior Software Consultant – Enterprise Architecture Management, HOPEX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Offer autonomous functional and technical consulting to clients regarding the implementation, enhancement, customization, and stable operation of software solutions in EAM, Data Governance, and ITSM.

• Plan, facilitate, and oversee requirements and functional workshops.

• Capture and convert complex business requirements into actionable solution concepts.

• Outline EAM scenarios such as Application Portfolio Management, technology lifecycle management, IT architecture landscapes, EA roadmaps, and data and information architectures.

• Configure and enhance HOPEX, including metamodel extensions, views, dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.

• Design and establish interfaces to third-party systems, for instance through REST APIs.

• Assess and implement modern technologies, including AI-supported methods, to enhance data flows, processes, and analyses.

• Develop specifications, test cases, and technical documentation.

• Perform acceptance testing, manage formal handovers, and ensure the quality of solutions.

• Provide training for end-users and key-users while ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer.

• Collaborate with software vendors on releases, support tickets, product roadmaps, and implementation initiatives.

• Manage customer projects in a structured and dependable manner, monitor tasks and decisions, and escalate risks and delays promptly.

• Coordinate with stakeholders and actively lead customer engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, or a related IT qualification.

• Minimum of 3 years of substantial professional experience in software product consulting, system integration, software development, or technical IT consulting.

• Proven experience in independently delivering functional and technical software solutions for clients.

• Strong programming and IT skills in Java, SQL, and UML.

• Knowledge of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Extensive hands-on experience in interface design and system integration, particularly with REST APIs.

• Experience utilizing AI tools and platforms in practice, such as for research, documentation, and code generation.

• Familiarity with AI-supported integration and automation scenarios.

• Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.

• Exceptional communication skills and a confident professional demeanor.

• Proficiency in the German language at a minimum C1 level (fluent).

• Very good command of both written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel on a project basis for client workshops and on-site appointments.

• Practical experience with Bizzdesign HOPEX or similar enterprise architecture, ITSM, or BPM platforms is an asset.

• In-depth methodological knowledge of EAM disciplines is beneficial.

• Familiarity with single sign-on/SAML 2.0 and certificate management is advantageous.

• Experience in operational application support, release management, or migration strategies is a plus.
