
Senior Site Reliability Engineer – FedRAMP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the Bitwarden Gov cloud infrastructure, focusing on security, reliability, and quality.
• Assess the infrastructure and suggest enhancements for reliability, security, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Deploy site reliability tools, monitoring systems, early-warning alerts, and observability across Gov cloud environments.
• Address infrastructure outages and engage in a 24x7 support strategy, including an on-call rotation with weekend shifts.
• Design architecture and oversee engineering operations at scale.
• Engage in code reviews while learning and sharing technical expertise.
• Contribute to and enhance incident management and escalation protocols.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to refine priorities and outputs.
• Assess and pinpoint opportunities for initiatives that align with organizational requirements.
• Develop and uphold standard operating procedures.
• Manage vulnerabilities and execute security remediations.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Work must be performed on U.S. soil when mandated by the U.S. government.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with FedRAMP (Moderate/High levels), continuous monitoring, and vulnerability management.
• Experience in production with incident response and on-call rotations.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and traffic management (CNI, Istio).
• Expertise in multi-region deployments in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven production experience with Kubernetes, including Managed Kubernetes, Helm, kubectl, and kOps.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and AI tools.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C#, Python, or Go.
• Experience with cloud deployment and automation tools/methodologies, such as GitOps, Terraform, or Pulumi.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage sensitive information, and enhance security best practices.
