This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Provide administrative and operational support, along with monitoring for customer-facing digital health software applications and platforms hosted on Baxter's Azure cloud platform.
• Implement strategies to ensure continuous service availability and effective business continuity.
• Oversee and manage Azure resources, which include virtual machines, databases, and networking components.
• Develop and document operating procedures that adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards.
• Manage processes related to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Define and enhance Operations SLAs while establishing non-functional requirements.
• Create infrastructure and application monitoring dashboards along with automated notification-routing workflows.
• Establish measurable KPIs and identify potential areas for improvement.
• Standardize site metrics and report on SLAs, availability, capacity utilization, service metrics, and cost utilization.
• Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to automate the provisioning and deployment of infrastructure.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation for support outside of regular hours, including weekends and holidays.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Previous experience in Site Reliability Engineering managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
• Engineering experience in enterprise settings requiring 24x7 uptime and compliance with regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and operations for products, platforms, and systems.
• Proven expertise in Azure or AWS administration and operations, utilizing Azure/AWS monitoring services.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, encryption, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs, routing, WAF/firewalls, proxy services, LAN/WAN connectivity, and advanced security and threat protection.
• Experience in systems administration within Windows and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash.
• Residing in a West Coast state.
• Capability to work during Pacific Time Zone business hours.
• Willingness to participate in a weekly on-call rotation, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
