Staff Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Identify and strategize future preventative measures for production incidents.

• Design and implement globally distributed systems and processes for the organization.

• Recognize deficiencies within current applications and infrastructure and address them.

• Create tailored solutions for complex technical challenges and communicate them to teammates.

• Make significant contributions to technology that may lead to patents, trade secrets, professional publications, or presentations.

• Align KnowBe4's strategic objectives with operational plans.

• Collaborate effectively across functional boundaries.

• Serve as team lead for larger sub-projects or entire small projects.

• Assist in ensuring that platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and efficient.

• Work collaboratively with engineers in a dynamic, agile development environment.

• Enhance technologies that support systems and improve the safety and reliability of distributed services.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent plus 8 years of experience.

• Proficient in coding across multiple or unfamiliar programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, and Javascript.

• Proven experience in architecting complex, high-scale solutions in AWS.

• Experience in architecting repeatable workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD); GitLab experience is preferred.

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.

• Strong ability to manage time effectively across competing projects.

• Capability to quickly comprehend, debug, and explain complex distributed systems.

• AWS Cloud Certification(s) - Associate Level required.

• Training in secure coding practices is preferred.

• AWS Cloud Certification(s) - Professional Level preferred.

• Familiarity with GCP and/or Azure is preferred.

• Experience in a public company is preferred.

• Contributions to open-source projects or experience with technical blogging is preferred.
