Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Remote in Brazil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop highly scalable and resilient applications and infrastructure on AWS alongside other Site Reliability Engineers.

• Maintain and enhance extensible infrastructure-as-code utilizing Terraform.

• Acquire knowledge, sustain, and refine existing deployment strategies.

• Provide observability, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for applications and infrastructure.

• Diagnose and address the root causes of production incidents as a primary escalation point.

• Support the design of globally distributed systems and processes.

• Identify and rectify deficiencies within applications and infrastructure.

• Formulate strategies and customized solutions for intricate technical challenges.

• Lead collaborative projects with fellow Site Reliability Engineers and relay progress to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent qualification with 5 years of experience.

• Proficient in writing scripts in one or more programming languages, including Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.

• Experience in designing and managing high-scale architectures in AWS.

• Proven ability in creating and designing repeatable workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), preferably using GitLab.

• Strong communication skills.

• Capability to effectively manage time across multiple competing projects.

• Quick to comprehend and troubleshoot complex distributed systems.

• Training in secure coding practices is advantageous.

• Confidence in writing Python is preferred.

• AWS Cloud Certification(s) at the Professional Level is desirable.

• Experience with GCP and/or Azure is a plus.

• Previous experience working for a public company is preferred.

• Contributions to open-source projects or experience with technical blogging is beneficial.
