Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, and enhance the ServiceNow platform, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, scripting, and automation.

• Support and lead the growth of ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM and IRM modules.

• Contribute to shaping the platform roadmap and future architecture.

• Collect requirements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver scalable solutions that align with ITIL practices and organizational governance.

• Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance through code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, governance, and proactive monitoring.

• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and service optimization.

• Assist with upgrades, release management, documentation, service continuity, and operational support for critical ServiceNow applications.

• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective solutions.

• Establish development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for the ServiceNow platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience working with ServiceNow, encompassing ITSM, IRM, or related platform capabilities.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including scripting, workflow development, integrations, and platform customization.

• Proven experience delivering ServiceNow enhancements and projects in an enterprise or complex operational environment.

• Strong understanding of ITIL principles and service management best practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

• Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory.

• Certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITSM, IRM, or other ServiceNow specializations are highly regarded.

• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance.

• Successful completion of pre-employment police checks and, depending on the role type, medical checks.
