ServiceNow Developer – SPM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs.

• Engage in hands-on development across ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, Service Portal, SPM, and Custom Applications.

• Construct and maintain inbound and outbound integrations utilizing REST APIs, JSON, Scripted REST APIs, and IntegrationHub.

• Configure and manage SSO integrations with external identity providers, including Azure AD.

• Utilize MID Server for integrations, discovery, and orchestration use cases.

• Develop and optimize solutions using Flow Designer, workflows, and automation features.

• Customize forms, UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and Service Portal widgets.

• Maintain and enhance CMDB data quality while supporting ITOM capabilities, including Discovery and Service Mapping.

• Develop and deploy custom applications following best practices and scoped application architecture.

• Troubleshoot platform issues, provide L2/L3 support, and ensure high availability and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, release management, and platform upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.

• Strong expertise in ITSM, covering Incident, Change, Problem, and Request Management.

• Fundamental knowledge of CMDB and Asset Management.

• Working familiarity with ITOM, including Discovery and Service Mapping.

• Experience in Service Portal development, including widgets, pages, and UI customization.

• Basic understanding of SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management).

• Proficiency in Flow Designer and workflow automation.

• Experience in custom application development using Scoped Apps.

• Significant experience with SSO integration utilizing SAML/OAuth, preferably with Azure AD.

• Experience with MID Server setup and maintenance.

• Extensive expertise in REST APIs, both inbound and outbound.

• Proficient in JSON/XML handling.

• Experience with Scripted REST APIs.

• Familiarity with IntegrationHub spokes.

• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, Glide APIs, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
