This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.
• Manage, configure, and uphold the ServiceNow platform across production, testing, and development environments.
• Implement, test, and roll out ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and configuration modifications.
• Analyze release notes and evaluate upgrade risks, impacts, and prospects.
• Oversee platform health, performance, integrations, and system logs.
• Identify and resolve incidents and defects.
• Collaborate on backup, restore, disaster recovery, and platform operations with Infrastructure and Security teams.
• Set up and support ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Asset Management, and HRSD applications.
• Convert requirements and user stories into workflows, business rules, UI policies, scripts, and integrations.
• Design and enhance customizations while minimizing technical debt.
• Create and keep up-to-date technical documentation, data models, and testing protocols.
• Enhance solutions to lower operational overhead and support expenses.
• Establish and uphold technical, configuration, and implementation standards.
• Support an SLA-based administrative and support framework in collaboration with internal teams and outsourced developers.
• Manage user access, roles, groups, and permissions effectively.
• Address escalated ServiceNow application requests.
• Suggest and execute process and platform enhancements.
• Provide technical advice and consultation to partners, product owners, and developers.
• Assist leadership in assessing, choosing, and implementing ServiceNow capabilities.
• Develop project and implementation plans that encompass scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resources.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for intricate ServiceNow and vendor-related challenges.
• Over 5 years of experience managing and configuring the ServiceNow platform within an enterprise context.
• More than 3 years of experience in scripting, particularly with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
• At least 2 years of experience in coordinating platform upgrades and changes with minimal user disruption.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in managing vendor relationships and coordinating issue resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
• Proficient in ServiceNow data models, workflows, scripting, and integrations.
• Sound knowledge of server infrastructure, databases, web technologies, and operating systems.
• Familiar with REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server.
• Capable of explaining intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must reside in and work from one of the designated states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
