This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design and implement technical SEO strategies aimed at enhancing organic visibility, crawlability, indexation, and overall website performance.
• Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits that assess site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicalization, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, JavaScript rendering, duplicate content, and structured data.
• Track and enhance Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, and the technical health of the site.
• Formulate recommendations regarding website structure, URL strategy, taxonomy, navigation, and internal linking.
• Develop SEO content briefs for blogs, product pages, landing pages, glossary pages, and various other website content.
• Create technical documentation, recommendations, and tickets for cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities within traditional search, AI-generated search results, and emerging search experiences.
• Conduct research on keywords, search intent, competition, SERP, topical authority, and content gaps.
• Apply on-page SEO updates, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text, schema recommendations, and content enhancements.
• Evaluate and optimize existing content for relevance, ranking, user experience, and conversion potential.
• Collaborate with Development and Web teams to prioritize, document, and implement technical SEO improvements.
• Utilize tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Sitebulb, and enterprise SEO platforms to identify opportunities and assess performance.
• Analyze organic search performance, rankings, traffic, conversions, and technical trends.
• Support international and multilingual SEO efforts, including hreflang, localized content, regional URL structures, and market-specific technical requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with search engine updates, technical SEO advancements, content trends, schema standards, and industry best practices.
• At least 5 years of experience in SEO, with substantial expertise in technical SEO.
• Practical experience in conducting technical audits for large or complex websites.
• Strong grasp of crawling, rendering, indexation, canonicalization, redirects, structured data, XML sitemaps, and internal linking.
• Experience in crafting SEO content briefs based on keyword research, search intent, competitive analysis, and business objectives.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog/crawling tools.
• Experience with AI-search/GEO tools or monitoring brand visibility in LLM-generated results.
• Ability to translate complex SEO data into straightforward recommendations for technical and senior stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
