Senior SEO, GEO Strategist – Ecommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop, oversee, and implement strategic organic search initiatives that drive sustainable revenue growth for ecommerce clients.

• Take ownership of the SEO strategy for a designated portfolio of ecommerce clients.

• Create prioritized SEO roadmaps that align technical SEO, content, authority building, user experience, and conversion optimization with business goals.

• Identify high-value opportunities within product, category, collection, editorial, buying guide, and comparison content.

• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits that cover information architecture, internal linking, crawlability, indexation, structured data, Core Web Vitals, rendering, duplicate content, canonicalization, pagination, faceted navigation, redirects, and site migrations.

• Analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, ecommerce platform data, crawling tools, rank tracking software, and SEO platforms.

• Investigate changes in rankings, traffic, conversions, revenue, and visibility to identify root causes.

• Differentiate SEO performance from seasonal trends, promotions, merchandising changes, paid advertising, product availability, tracking issues, and market fluctuations.

• Collaborate with Developers, Content Writers, Designers, Outreach Specialists, and Account Managers to implement SEO recommendations.

• Translate technical SEO insights into prioritized development tasks with clear requirements and expected business impacts.

• Monitor the quality of implementations and validate the effectiveness of completed recommendations.

• Lead client strategy meetings, performance reviews, and quarterly business assessments.

• Provide data-driven strategic recommendations linked to commercial impact.

• Develop and enhance GEO and AEO methodologies, frameworks, deliverables, reporting, and measurement systems.

• Research AI search platforms including Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.

• Conduct prompt research on product discovery, comparison, and evaluation through AI platforms.

• Assess client visibility across AI search platforms and enhance citations, recommendations, structured data, entity consistency, product feeds, authority signals, reviews, and content extractability.

• Contribute strategic analysis to Hustler Marketing's own SEO efforts.

• Report directly to the Head of SEO & GEO and offer SEO expertise to internal departments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience leading SEO strategies for ecommerce websites.

• Strong familiarity with Shopify or Shopify Plus and BigCommerce platforms.

• Advanced knowledge of technical SEO, particularly concerning large ecommerce websites and product catalogs.

• Proficient in using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Looker Studio, and other SEO analysis tools.

• Excellent grasp of keyword research, search intent, information architecture, internal linking, on-page optimization, and ecommerce content strategy.

• Demonstrated ability to link SEO performance with conversions, transactions, average order value, and revenue.

• Experience in diagnosing SEO performance changes while considering paid campaigns, promotions, merchandising, seasonality, and tracking issues.

• Strong background in translating SEO audits into prioritized implementation roadmaps and actionable development requirements.

• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently prioritize high-impact opportunities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational skills, accountability, responsiveness, and a consistent ability to meet deadlines.

• Experience in remote work and collaboration across cross-functional teams is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with GEO, AEO, AI search platforms, or AI-powered discovery tools is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of structured data, product feeds, entity optimization, AI visibility measurement, and ecommerce SEO best practices is a strong advantage.

• Experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, APIs, log-file analysis, or advanced data visualization tools is a plus.

• Must be available and responsive from Monday to Friday between 3-6 PM BCN time.

• Must consistently work 30-35 hours per week, totaling approximately 140 hours per month.

• Must have a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer capable of attending virtual meetings.

• Must be open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.
