Senior Security Consultant – Okta

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance Access Management solutions utilizing Okta Identity Engine and Auth0.

• Lead comprehensive Okta OIE solutions encompassing SSO, MFA, adaptive access policies, and Lifecycle Management.

• Create and execute joiner/mover/leaver automation, SCIM provisioning, HR-driven identity workflows, provisioning agents, and directory integrations.

• Develop custom Okta Workflows integrations, account reconciliation, provisioning logic, approval chains, attribute transformations, and onboarding/offboarding automation.

• Architect Auth0 customer identity solutions for B2C, B2B, and B2B2C scenarios.

• Construct federation architectures utilizing SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.

• Configure Okta API Access Management, including authorization servers, token policies, scopes, and claims.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code and DevOps/SecDevOps practices using Okta Terraform Provider, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions, whiteboarding, and solution design workshops.

• Generate technical design documents, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and implementation guides.

• Conduct platform migrations, tenant configurations, and identity consolidation.

• Manage engagement timelines, deliverables, client communication, scope, risks, dependencies, and change control.

• Lead status meetings, steering committees, and executive briefings.

• Coordinate workstreams and delivery resources; oversee closeout, documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition planning.

• Mentor junior consultants and business analysts.

• Host knowledge-sharing sessions and technical deep dives.

• Review team deliverables and solution designs.

• Create reusable templates, accelerators, and reference architectures.

• Assist with the onboarding of new Okta practice members.

• Support presales activities through scoping calls, technical qualification, demonstrations, SOWs, LOE estimates, and proposals.

• Identify opportunities for expansion and represent GuidePoint at vendor events, webinars, and industry forums.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 7 years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management.

• More than 4 years of direct implementation experience with Okta OIE (Workforce Identity Cloud).

• Complete proficiency in Okta Workflows, including connector development, error handling, complex flow logic, and API-driven automations.

• Strong background in LCM implementation, including joiner/mover/leaver processes, SCIM provisioning, and automated lifecycle orchestration using Okta Workflows.

• Proven experience with Auth0 implementations, including Actions, Rules, Universal Login customization, Organizations, and tenant architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.

• Experience with Okta API Access Management, token policies, and custom authorization servers.

• Capability to lead engagements independently with minimal oversight while managing scope, timelines, and client relationships.

• Excellent client-facing communication skills tailored for technical and executive audiences.

• Experience in producing technical deliverables such as design documents, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.

• Ability to perform sedentary work.

• Significant movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours daily.

• Close visual acuity for computer terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
