This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
β’ Administer diagnostic assessments, pre-admission testing, rehabilitation, and/or physician appointment schedules for hospital departments and/or medical practices.
β’ Collect clinical information to ensure the correct scheduling of screening and diagnostic test procedures and/or physician appointments.
β’ Coordinate schedules with patients, physicians, office personnel, and ancillary departments.
β’ Communicate and provide instructions, explaining necessary patient preparations in clear and understandable terms.
β’ Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with management to implement changes.
β’ Offer floor support for both new and experienced scheduling staff as required.
β’ Act as a resource for Patient Access staff, physicians, departments, and referring offices.
β’ Verify and update patient demographic information.
β’ High School Diploma or GED.
β’ One year of scheduling experience within the Patient Access Center OR proficiency in all basic scheduling procedures and training on one or more complex diagnostic tests OR experience scheduling physician appointments across several regions.
β’ Proficient in basic scheduling procedures such as DEXA and Echo.
β’ Trained on one or more complex diagnostic tests such as IR and MRI, or experience scheduling physician appointments across multiple regions.
β’ Capable of lifting and carrying 25 lbs.
β’ Frequent sitting and standing required.
β’ Regular keyboard usage.
β’ Patient care providers may be expected to perform role-specific tasks including kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR.
