Senior SAP HANA BASIS Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Provide SAP BASIS, database, and administrative services within an SAP IS-U environment for clients in North America.

• Deliver solutions for ongoing and upcoming projects as part of a Basis resources team.

• Collaborate with functional teams, clients, and North American colleagues to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement them.

• Define system strategies, requirements, sizing, designs, prototypes, and support procedures.

• Perform administration tasks for SAP BASIS/NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP Security, and Oracle DBA.

• Install and manage HANA operating systems and databases.

• Support SAP rollouts, technical upgrades, application and HANA database operations, database upgrades, EHP upgrades, and OS/database migrations to HANA.

• Configure SAP and Fiori security measures.

• Oversee HANA replication, disaster recovery, operations, monitoring, performance, and incident management.

• Implement and support GRC and NetWeaver initiatives.

• Manage STMS, background jobs, spool administration, client maintenance, system copies, support packs, kernel patches, add-ons, and SNOTE corrections.

• Collaborate with business, infrastructure, and development teams to configure SAP and third-party applications.

• Troubleshoot configuration dependencies across various SAP functional modules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in SAP BASIS/NetWeaver Administration.

• Proficiency in SAP HANA Administration, SAP Security, and Oracle DBA Administration.

• Extensive experience in OS and database installation for HANA.

• Proven SAP implementation experience, including rollouts, technical upgrades, SAP application and HANA database support, database upgrades, EHP upgrades, and OS/database migration to HANA.

• Experience in defining system strategy, developing system requirements, sizing, designing, prototyping, and establishing support procedures.

• Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, ECC, BI EHP upgrades, and database upgrades.

• Hands-on experience in setting up and configuring SAP and Fiori security.

• Knowledge of SAP HANA replication, disaster recovery, operations, monitoring, performance management, and incident management.

• GRC project implementation and support for NetWeaver tasks.

• Familiarity with STMS, background job scheduling, spool administration, client maintenance, system copies, support packs, kernel patches, add-on installations, and SNOTE advanced corrections.

• Ability to engage with business stakeholders, IT infrastructure teams, and development teams.

• Understanding of configuration dependencies and interrelationships among SAP functional modules.

• Experience in SAP IS-U environments and projects within the utility industry.
