
Senior Salesforce Developer – Field Service, Customer Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, configure, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Salesforce solutions utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, APIs, and the platform's native capabilities.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical designs, workflows, data models, integrations, and user experiences.
• Assess native Salesforce functionalities prior to implementing custom development or third-party applications.
• Ensure that solutions are secure, maintainable, and adhere to best practices in Salesforce development.
• Implement rigorous engineering methodologies, including version control, sandbox management, thorough testing, and efficient release processes.
• Create technical documentation, testing plans, and deployment materials.
• Develop and enhance Salesforce Field Service functionalities, encompassing work orders, service appointments, scheduling, dispatching, service territories, skills, mobile workflows, and preventive maintenance.
• Optimize workflows for field technicians, dispatchers, service coordinators, O&M teams, and users interacting with customers.
• Construct and support Service Cloud solutions for case management, escalations, service history, customer communication, and issue resolution.
• Provision new users, troubleshoot mobile applications, and execute data corrections.
• Develop and enhance the experiences of customers and partners through Experience Cloud.
• Design, support, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
• Assist with data modeling, migration, reconciliation, and data quality initiatives across customer, asset, and service records.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support release planning, testing, deployment, source control, CI/CD, permissions, and security measures.
• Monitor automations and integrations to help minimize technical debt.
• Collaborate with Field Operations, O&M, Customer Success, Engineering, and Enterprise Systems to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Lead or engage in discovery sessions, solution reviews, testing, and implementation planning.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance platform performance, and boost user adoption.
• Communicate technical trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated on Salesforce capabilities and suggest relevant platform enhancements.
• Over 7 years of experience in Salesforce development, configuration, or implementation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service in a complex operational setting.
• Strong background in Service Cloud and the broader Salesforce platform.
• Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, APIs, data modeling, and Salesforce security.
• Ability to independently analyze unclear requirements, design solutions, and deliver production-ready features.
• Experience in designing and supporting integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
• Solid understanding of field service processes, including scheduling, dispatch, technician mobility, work execution, service history, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in supporting Field Operations, O&M, Customer Success, customer support, or other asset-intensive business processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to function effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Experience with Experience Cloud and customer or partner portals is preferred.
• Experience with Manufacturing Cloud or Sales Cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity with installed products, asset hierarchies, warranties, service contracts, and fleet maintenance is preferred.
• Relevant Salesforce certifications are preferred.
• Experience in energy, manufacturing, industrial equipment, utilities, or another asset-intensive industry is preferred.
