This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Sell intricate odor control, disinfection, and wastewater solutions to municipal organizations throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
• Build and nurture relationships with municipal stakeholders.
• Connect with clients via face-to-face visits, virtual meetings, and strategic presentations.
• Design and present customized quotes, technical proposals, and product demonstrations.
• Host lunch & learns, webinars, and participate in trade shows.
• Address customer inquiries with personalized solutions.
• Track and progress opportunities through all stages of sales in CRM.
• Conduct research to identify potential clients within the designated territory.
• Generate leads through cold calling and networking.
• Perform market research and keep an eye on industry trends and competitors.
• Establish and reach sales targets.
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve company objectives.
• Offer training and support to sales team members.
• Analyze and monitor sales data.
• Forge and maintain critical client relationships.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Mentor junior colleagues and assist with their career development.
• Influence stakeholders and align team efforts with long-term goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, business, or a related area, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Prior experience as a sales representative or business development manager in a related field.
• Proficient in integrated business management and CRM software, including MS Dynamics and SalesForce.
• Advanced understanding of solution selling, business development, and brand growth.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, particularly odor generation and mitigation technologies.
• Experience with odor control technologies, such as chemical dosing, vapor-phase or liquid-phase odor scrubbers, and biological odor treatment systems.
• Knowledge of EPA, local, and state environmental regulations impacting municipal utilities.
• Proven success in technical or consultative sales in environmental, water/wastewater, or industrial sectors.
• Experience navigating public sector sales processes, including RFPs, procurement, and municipal contracting.
• Capability to conduct site assessments and collaborate with engineers, operators, and public works decision-makers.
• Established relationships or networks within municipal utilities, public works departments, or water/wastewater authorities.
• Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce and MS Dynamics for pipeline management and forecasting.
• Willingness to travel regionally for on-site demonstrations, trials, or troubleshooting.
