
Senior Sales Executive – Global Trade Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Market and sell QAD FTZ software solutions to both new and existing QAD clients.
• Identify, develop, negotiate, and successfully close new business opportunities derived from marketing efforts and leads within current customer relationships.
• Create and maintain a sales pipeline to achieve or surpass established targets.
• Lead the sales process from initial qualification through to deal closure.
• Achieve and exceed sales objectives through new account acquisition or expansion of existing accounts.
• Keep precise records of metrics, forecasts, activities, and subsequent steps.
• Grasp the business environment and incorporate unique differentiators into sales recommendations.
• Deliver presentations to external clients across various sectors including manufacturing, finance, operations, quality, supply chain, and marketing, engaging audiences from managers and directors to C-suite executives.
• Coordinate internal and external teams to facilitate progress on deals throughout intricate sales cycles.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities while fostering relationships with large enterprise prospects.
• Educate, customize, and steer customer discussions to offer new insights and encourage purchases of QAD solutions.
• Over 7 years of proven experience as a Sales and Account Executive.
• Prior experience in selling Global Trade Compliance or FTZ Solutions is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Compliance and Transportation Execution solutions is a plus.
• Ability to provide clients with distinctive perspectives and insights.
• Experience in identifying key business drivers and tailoring sales strategies accordingly.
• Capability to address client concerns and influence their purchasing choices.
• Self-driven, high-achieving mindset with a background in developing and finalizing business opportunities.
• Proficient in leveraging relationships, insight-led selling, and challenging conventional approaches.
• Training in and application of sales methodologies such as Challenger, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, SPIN, Customer Centric, or Sandler is preferred.
• Understanding of marketing and customer acquisition strategies.
• Experience in engaging customers or prospects regarding complex enterprise software solutions.
• Knowledgeable about supply chain, demand planning, manufacturing, trade logistics, transportation, or e-commerce sectors.
• Familiarity with industries such as automotive, high tech, industrial, life sciences, logistics, consumer goods, food, or beverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive proposals, emails, and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel 30% to 50% of the time.
• Must be based in the United States, ideally near a major airport.
