This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.
• Oversee comprehensive investigation and de-escalation processes for critical customer complaints.
• Serve as the ultimate escalation point for intricate issues.
• Administer carrier audits and manage workflows related to state regulatory complaints.
• Draft, review, and finalize communications directed towards state departments of insurance, carrier partners, and consumers.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to convert audit findings and complaint patterns into product modifications, automated checks, and process improvements.
• Take ownership of the complaint log and associated compliance workflows.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise, audit-ready records for market conduct examinations and state data requests.
• Adhere to statutory timelines and internal service level agreements (SLAs).
• Act as the primary operational point of contact for carrier partners during claims investigations, regulatory inquiries, and information audits.
• Offer operational guidance, quality oversight, and subject-matter expertise to teams in customer service, compliance, and claims support.
• Keep documentation of complaint trends, regulatory communications, and resolution timelines updated.
• Notify leadership of emerging areas of compliance risk.
• A valid Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required, or a readiness to obtain one promptly.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in state insurance and regulatory compliance.
• Preferred 2+ years in a leadership, managerial, or supervisory position.
• Demonstrated experience in managing state regulatory inquiries (Department of Insurance complaints) and relationships with carrier audits.
• Familiarity with NAIC model regulations, state insurance codes, and standards for market conduct examinations.
• Capability to translate regulatory mandates into operational policies and practices at the team level.
• Outstanding executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for legal and compliance details.
• Strong analytical skills and experience utilizing data to influence cross-functional product and operational enhancements.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent practical leadership experience.
• Must be eligible to reside in one of the specified hiring locations in the United States or Ontario, Canada.
