
Senior Sales Director – Mobility, Industrial, and Advanced Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the commercial expansion of USA Rare Earth within mobility, industrial, and advanced technology sectors.
• Generate demand and secure orders with OEM clients in the designated region.
• Swiftly establish a strong market presence and enhance brand visibility across targeted verticals.
• Oversee and expand a comprehensive business portfolio across key markets.
• Create and implement account strategies aligned with annual revenue objectives.
• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with customers.
• Assist customers through the material qualification and program approval processes.
• Lead the creation of MOUs, joint development agreements, and supply contracts.
• Represent USA Rare Earth at trade shows, conferences, and customer-related events.
• Manage demand planning and forecasting for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to synchronize capacity with customer deadlines.
• Provide monthly forecasts and demand plans with a forecast accuracy of 80% or higher.
• Convert program timelines, ramp curves, and volume forecasts into production schedules.
• Maintain CRM records, including account, opportunity, and pipeline information.
• Identify and assess new opportunities while ensuring pipeline coverage of at least 10 times annual revenue goals.
• Develop the pipeline and transform opportunities into purchase orders.
• Monitor pipeline health, win/loss patterns, and account expansion.
• Formulate multi-year account strategies and pursuit plans.
• Work in tandem with Application Engineering and Product Marketing to deliver technical solutions.
• Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing strategies, and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, market entry, and prioritization of investments.
• Keep an eye on competitors, program schedules, and industry developments.
• Relay customer insights to Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams.
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of progressive commercial or sales experience.
• At least 5 years of experience focused on mobility, industrial, advanced technology, or a related industry.
• Proven success in managing intricate, multi-stakeholder sales processes and increasing account revenue year-over-year.
• Experience in industrial demand planning and forecasting within a manufacturing or industrial supply context.
• Demonstrated proficiency with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales or Salesforce.com).
• Established relationships with OEM manufacturers in automotive, industrial motors, automation, robotics, or related sectors are strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel 60% or more.
• A solid track record of developing and enhancing complex, technical accounts in long sales-cycle industrial markets.
• Strong executive presence coupled with excellent communication abilities.
• Capability to independently manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and account growth.
• Expertise in industrial demand planning and forecasting.
• Proficient in CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales preferred; Salesforce.com or Hubspot acceptable).
• Familiarity with automotive, industrial motor, automation, and robotics OEM supply chains.
• Knowledge of humanoid robotics, factory automation, material handling, and fluid control equipment markets.
• Understanding of electrification trends, motion control architectures, and automation and robotics actuator technologies.
