
Senior Sales Compensation Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Accurately compute monthly and quarterly commissions in a timely manner.
• Confirm commissionable transactions, which include bookings, renewals, upsells/cross-sells, and any necessary adjustments.
• Oversee clawbacks, givebacks, credit adjustments, and dispute resolutions.
• Prepare payroll submissions and pay files.
• Convert compensation plans into system logic for quotas, tiers, accelerators, and incentives.
• Maintain and enhance sales compensation systems.
• Assist with hierarchy, territory, crediting structures, quota letters, and documentation of plans.
• Generate reports on attainment, commission, and cost-of-sales.
• Conduct variance analysis and detect commission trends or irregularities.
• Offer insights on plan efficacy and sales behaviors to leadership.
• Aid in forecasting and accrual procedures with the Finance team.
• Ensure data integrity, adjustments, and payout approvals are controlled.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and Order Management teams.
• Address sales compensation questions and escalations.
• Identify opportunities for automation and support system implementations, migrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Participate in compensation design as the business grows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 4–7+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, or sales operations, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commission structures, including tiered plans, quotas, and accelerators.
• Proficiency with sales compensation tools such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Varicent, or Oracle Incentive Compensation.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including modeling, reconciliation, and analysis of large datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
• Experience in supporting global compensation programs across various regions is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data and reporting tools is a plus.
• Background in system implementations or process transformation projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of SaaS metrics such as ARR, ACV, churn, and expansion revenue is beneficial.
