
Senior Safety and Loss Control Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead intricate risk assessments for insured properties and operations to guide underwriting decisions.
• Identify potential risk exposures and develop strategic recommendations to mitigate those risks.
• Analyze and interpret loss data to discover patterns.
• Create and implement loss prevention programs tailored to the specific needs of clients.
• Offer advanced technical guidance and conduct training sessions for clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Assess the effectiveness of loss control measures and make strategic adjustments to improve outcomes.
• May supervise performance and mentor staff.
• May be involved in talent selection, development, and performance management decisions for direct reports.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 13 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or a related field within the property and casualty insurance sector.
• Completion of or ongoing progress toward a professional designation is preferred, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of company policies and pertinent industry laws and regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and results-driven consultative skills.
• Ability to leverage data to analyze situations, pinpoint problems, and suggest effective solutions.
• Capacity to provide technical advice and support to lower-level positions, management, and other departments.
• Regular travel required.
