This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
β’ Design, develop, and optimize low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
β’ Take ownership of essential trading stack components from architecture to production operation.
β’ Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to enhance trading performance and resilience.
β’ Maintain and advance trading infrastructure to ensure performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
β’ Diagnose intricate production issues related to exchange connectivity, execution, and market data.
β’ Promote engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring.
β’ Utilize AI-assisted workflows, automate operational tasks, and refine agentic tooling.
β’ Contribute to functional, component, and production-readiness testing for vital trading components.
β’ Experience with production-grade Rust in developing high-performance, concurrent systems.
β’ Proficiency in Tokio is highly advantageous.
β’ Practical experience in systematic trading, including HFT, market making, or quantitative trading.
β’ Strong understanding of execution, market data, and operational risk management.
β’ Expertise in AWS and Linux environments.
β’ Knowledge of cloud infrastructure trade-offs for latency-sensitive applications.
β’ Skills in shell scripting, debugging, and troubleshooting production environments.
β’ Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
β’ In-depth knowledge of FIX, REST, WebSocket, exchange connectivity, and market data feeds.
β’ Understanding of low-latency networking concepts, including TCP, UDP, packet and latency path analysis, dedicated network infrastructure, and DPDK.
β’ Familiarity with LLMs, MCP APIs, AI-first IDEs, harness engineering, and workflow automation.
β’ Ability to make architectural decisions, articulate trade-offs, and guide implementation in complex systems.
β’ Demonstrated senior-level ownership, reliability, initiative, operational diligence, technical leadership, curiosity, and communication skills.
β’ Experience with Rust in a trading context.
β’ Capability to pass necessary background checks as a condition of employment at Keyrock.
