Senior RoR Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

• Mentor and assist junior developers by sharing best practices and nurturing a culture of learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software development.

• In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• Proficient in Rails or comparable MVC frameworks.

• Skilled in Active Record or similar Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools.

• Expertise in RSpec testing.

• Familiar with JavaScript frameworks like React or jQuery.

• Experience in developing and documenting REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Grape and Swagger is preferred.

• Knowledge of end-to-end testing tools such as Capybara and Selenium is a plus.

• Comfortable working with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, including GitLab CI.

• Familiar with static analysis tools such as RuboCop and Brakeman.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery, or similar cloud platforms, is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrated passion for quality, scalable solutions, and object-oriented programming.

• Must be currently residing in Mexico and legally authorized to work there.

• Willing and able to work during EST business hours.

• Comfortable working as an Independent Contractor and managing personal taxes and benefits.

• Prepared to purchase personal equipment upfront, with reimbursement available later.
