Senior Risk Manager – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Maintain an awareness of threat and opportunity trigger points for risk cost profiling, risk budget utilization, and the management of threats and opportunities.

• Utilize risk data to guide investment decision-making.

• Oversee overall risk exposure and the remaining risk budget.

• Evaluate risks held by contractors and their perspectives on client-held risks.

• Generate timely risk reports that convey the status of threats and opportunities.

• Conduct quantitative cost and schedule risk assessments to inform project contingency levels.

• Enhance risk management services for the client.

• Execute comprehensive project risk management across various projects and programs.

• Develop risk management plans and processes that align with client specifications and frameworks.

• Conduct regular risk reviews, identify and analyze risks, formulate response plans, and monitor risk profiles.

• Lead the Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) processes.

• Integrate risk management with program and project controls, including cost, schedule, change control, and reporting.

• Collaborate with project control teams to eliminate redundancies and identify areas for improvement.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to risk teams, project controls teams, clients, and colleagues.

• Create value stream maps to quantify pain points and reduce speed and cost waste.

• Work together on supplier performance management, metrics collection, and development of improvement action plans.

• Assist expert witnesses during arbitral or litigation proceedings.

• Oversee contract and claims management during the construction phase.

• Evaluate contractual claims and provide advice on disputes and resolutions.

• Assess measures for delay recovery.

• Manage change processes and cost control during the construction phase.

• Supervise the measurement and valuation of completed works and variations.

• Oversee the settlement of final accounts with contractors.

• Ensure compliance with applicable SOX control responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience.

• Relevant experience in construction project procurement and contract management.

• Proven experience in a Program Management or Program Controls setting.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in risk identification, facilitation, and related techniques.

• Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, commercial models, and delivery methodologies.

• Proficient in process mapping, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and value-stream mapping.

• Familiarity with web-based database tools such as ARM, Predict, and Tableau.

• Highly self-motivated, analytical, and focused on customer needs.

• Excellent communication skills.
