Senior Risk Manager – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify, capture, and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities within the risk register.

• Facilitate risk workshops with project teams, contractors, and subject matter experts.

• Conduct qualitative assessments and provide data for quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis.

• Monitor mitigation actions, responsible parties, and due dates.

• Generate risk reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for project controls and leadership reviews.

• Keep track of emerging risks, early warning indicators, and alterations in project scope or conditions.

• Assist in schedule risk evaluations.

• Collaborate with planning, cost, estimating, engineering, and construction delivery teams.

• Escalate significant risks and propose mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with the enterprise risk framework, tools, and governance standards.

• Develop and enhance the Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) supply chain risk taxonomy and framework.

• Conduct OFE risk identification workshops and record cost and schedule risks in an e-Builder risk register.

• Design and recommend controls for OFE-related risks.

• Review OFE mitigation strategies and provide updates to leadership.

• Establish and refine the General Contractor (GC) risk taxonomy and risk register.

• Inventory and evaluate GCs utilized in data center construction projects.

• Conduct GC risk identification workshops and document significant O&M and construction risks in e-Builder.

• Design and recommend controls for GC risks.

• Support risk mitigation initiatives for Machine Learning ramp and coordinate risk-related efforts for ML builds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Establish a risk program for the Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) supply chain.

• Refine risk taxonomies and frameworks based on input from stakeholders.

• Conduct risk identification workshops and calibrate risks accordingly.

• Document cost, schedule, OFE, GC, O&M, and construction risks in e-Builder registers.

• Design and recommend appropriate risk controls.

• Schedule regular reviews of the risk register and monitor mitigation actions.

• Identify and evaluate General Contractors involved in data center construction projects.

• Support risk mitigation strategies for Machine Learning ramp and ML builds.

• Membership in a relevant risk domain association, such as PMI, AACE, RICS, or equivalent (preferred).

• Familiarity with Safran, @RISK, PRA, Deltek, or Omega applications (preferred).
