Senior Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create a comprehensive Risk Management Plan

• Facilitate the identification, assessment, treatment, and overall governance of project risks

• Oversee Risk Management initiatives within Advanced Nuclear for Small Modular Reactors in large-scale EPC projects

• Direct and coordinate risk and opportunity identification, discussions, and mitigation efforts throughout the project lifecycle

• Diligently follow up and apply thorough problem-solving techniques to ongoing risk mitigation efforts

• Implement daily management routines related to risk, conduct operational risk reviews, track performance, and engage in structured problem-solving

• Assist leaders in overcoming bottlenecks

• Perform in-depth data analysis, operational assessments, and communicate with senior leadership

• Foster alignment across Project Management, PMO, functional teams, and other stakeholders

• Act as the primary expert and point of contact for Risk Management within the Project team

• Compare internal and external best practices in risk management processes

• Enhance and optimize processes, KPIs, and communication schedules

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution

• Expertise in industry-standard planning and quantitative risk analysis tools, including Monte Carlo simulations, such as P6, SAFRAN, or similar

• A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in nuclear industry engineering/operations, planning, project controls, project management, risk management, construction management, contracts management, or similar

• At least 3 years of experience in risk management or project controls

• Strong understanding of power project life cycles, project risk management principles, and relevant technical, financial, and contractual terms

• Capacity to manage multiple complex issues/projects simultaneously

• Willingness and capability to travel globally up to 20% of the time

• Proven leadership skills in a matrix organizational environment

• Proficiency in P6 and Microsoft Suite

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities

• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities

• Strategic mindset and a history of developing innovative solutions to challenging business problems

• Experience in project controls, contract management, or risk management

• Background in project/construction management within the power industry

• Technical familiarity with commercial nuclear reactors and related systems

• Access to U.S. export-controlled information, when applicable, requires authorization from the U.S. Government

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

• Successful completion of a drug screening, as applicable
