Senior Reverse Exchange Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee tax-deferral real estate exchanges for clients from initiation to closing.

• Manage reverse exchange transactions efficiently.

• Draft and distribute reverse exchange agreements and opening packages.

• Supervise mail handling, deadlines, and file updates through calendar and tickler systems.

• Review and authorize estimated closing statements.

• Handle fund disbursement and collect relevant fees and interest.

• Train and supervise Exchange Assistants, monitor their performance, and assist in their interviews and coaching.

• Resolve escalated customer service concerns while nurturing long-term client relationships.

• Identify potential opportunities for client acquisition and service enhancement, maintaining both monthly and annual targets.

• Lead accounting functions, including managing deposits, initiating wire transfers, balancing ledgers, and auditing exchange files.

• Prepare and submit Exchange Closing Statements and final reports.

• Ensure the timely distribution of funds and 1099 forms.

• Review and manage daily revenue and SMS reports.

• Organize and archive monthly reports.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, advisors, escrow officers, closers, and internal teams.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of related experience.

• Preferred experience in accounting, bookkeeping, customer service, or sales.

• Strong orientation towards customer service.

• Attention to detail is critical.

• Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Ability to learn 1031 exchange rules and procedures.

• Proficiency in computer knowledge and experience.

• Good typing skills.

• Basic math skills are necessary.

• Strong planning and organizational capabilities.

• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Leadership skills are preferred.
