Senior Revenue Recognition Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the month-end closing process related to revenue.

• Help ensure that financial reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

• Review customer contracts and non-standard terms to facilitate appropriate revenue recognition.

• Prepare and reconcile revenue schedules, including deferred revenue and contract assets/liabilities.

• Support ongoing improvement initiatives within Order-to-Cash processes.

• Assist with tasks related to SOX audit compliance.

• Collaborate on various ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects.

• Provide dependable analysis and support to the Revenue Accounting team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 principles.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to effectively manage task timelines in a remote setting.

• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

• A collaborative, team-oriented approach.

• Prior experience with SaaS or consumption-based revenue models is a plus.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Zuora, or Salesforce CPQ is advantageous.
