General Ledger Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Execute accounting responsibilities for designated properties, such as bank reconciliations, monitoring of funding, managing mortgage payments, overseeing property tax and business license compliance, processing BH reimbursements, reviewing general ledgers, reconciling fixed assets, recording journal entries, and posting loans.

• Carry out assigned tasks related to the monthly closure of accounting records.

• Conduct annual or seasonal Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.

• Address tenant inquiries concerning CAM reconciliations for properties under your management.

• Review bank reconciliations for properties assigned to colleagues in the team.

• Establish new bank accounts and perform necessary tasks following property acquisitions or dispositions.

• Generate reports for the accounting team management.

• Complete additional projects and tasks as directed by accounting management.

• Report to the General Ledger Manager and engage in the accounting process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Accounting and a CPA license are mandatory.

• Must be a cum laude graduate or higher from a university.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience is required.

• Experience in broad-based accounting for real estate is an advantage.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external parties.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Must exhibit a strong work ethic.

• A collaborative team player is essential.

• Experience with Yardi is preferred.

• Must be available to work during standard business hours in the US Pacific Time zone (8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday).
