Senior Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report to the Director of Order to Cash and Revenue Accounting

• Take ownership of the complete monthly revenue closing process

• Create journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses for revenue, deferred revenue, and contract asset balances

• Generate the deferred revenue waterfall and financial reporting metrics

• Reconcile consumption data with billing and revenue

• Utilize SQL/data queries and AI tools to facilitate and automate revenue accounting tasks

• Review customer contracts and order forms in accordance with ASC 606

• Develop accounting checklists for complex or non-standard agreements

• Conduct estimate calculations, including standalone selling price analyses

• Assist in the introduction of new products, pricing models, SKU launches, and system upgrades or implementations

• Aid in external audits and manage PBC requests related to revenue

• Collaborate with AR & Billing, Legal, Sales Operations, FP&A, and Data teams to enhance the quote-to-revenue workflow

• Create scalable, automated revenue processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting

• Ideally, experience in a SaaS or consumption-based technology company

• Strong understanding of ASC 606, including contract review, SSP, and revenue disclosures

• Proficiency with NetSuite, Stripe, and Salesforce

• Familiarity with integrations and data flows between NetSuite, Stripe, and Salesforce

• Comfortable working with large data sets

• SQL or similar query capabilities

• Interest in leveraging AI and automation to optimize processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Capability to interpret complex contracts and data sets

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

• Ability to collaborate across functions and articulate revenue matters clearly

• CPA or equivalent is preferred

• Experience with Big Four public accounting is preferred

• Background in supporting audits, internal controls, and SOX readiness is preferred

• Experience with cloud marketplace billing for AWS, GCP, or Azure is an advantage
