Senior Accountant, CPA, Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage daily accounting functions and oversee the month-end closing process.

• Generate precise and timely financial statements and reports.

• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Anticipate expenses and assist with revenue forecasting.

• Investigate and rectify discrepancies in financial information.

• Suggest enhancements to accounting systems and processes.

• Supervise and provide support to the Staff Accountant, assigning and prioritizing tasks.

• Aid in audit preparations and ensure compliance with internal controls.

• Collaborate with the Controller on essential financial deliverables and report findings.

• Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (mandatory).

• CPA certification required.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.

• Thorough understanding of GAAP.

• Proficient in Excel and possess strong analytical skills.

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote setting.

• Availability to work during EST or CST hours.

• Preferred: Background in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or healthcare accounting.
