Senior Retail Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of daily retail order fulfillment and address product-location challenges to prevent delays or incomplete shipments.

• Actively manage base inventory and highlight potential shortage risks.

• Accurately process new orders in a timely manner.

• Conduct inventory assessments for promotions and the introduction of new items.

• Monitor OTIF performance, chargebacks, and late deliveries while driving process enhancements.

• Oversee relationships with 3PL and logistics partners, resolve escalations, and uphold SLAs.

• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, lot/expiry management, promotions, and returns.

• Identify tools, including AI, and implement workflow modifications to enhance the efficiency of retail operations.

• Liaise between internal operations, 3PLs, and retail accounts while reporting to the Director of Retail Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in retail operations, order fulfillment, or replenishment within a CPG environment.

• Possess an analytical mindset.

• Direct experience with Walmart and Club channels, such as Sam's Club and Costco.

• Ideal candidates will have experience with distributors like UNFI or KeHE.

• Knowledge of EDI order management, lot codes, and expiration handling in retail fulfillment is essential.

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems; experience with Fulfil.io is a significant plus.

• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both internal teams and external retail/logistics partners.

• Comfort in utilizing AI tools such as Claude.

• Proven track record of identifying and addressing inefficiencies.

• Must be proactive, well-organized under pressure, independent, data-driven, curious, and have an iterative approach.
