Senior Retail AI Solutions Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Identify, design, test, and scale AI-driven solutions that enhance the performance and effectiveness of frontline teams.

• Act as a liaison between store operations, field leadership, business teams, and technical teams.

• Collaborate with associates, sales managers, store managers, and field leaders to understand challenges and uncover opportunities.

• Convert business challenges and opportunities into actionable AI-driven solutions.

• Create and uphold a prioritized pipeline of AI initiatives.

• Develop prompts, instructions, conversations, workflows, and guardrails to ensure reliable and valuable AI outputs.

• Work alongside technical teams to ensure alignment of solutions with company standards and architecture.

• Assess solutions from the end-user perspective and continuously enhance the user experience.

• Initiate and oversee pilot programs with stores and business teams.

• Gather feedback, identify barriers to adoption, and refine solutions based on practical usage and results.

• Formulate communication and training strategies to instill confidence in associates and leaders regarding AI tools.

• Establish success metrics and anticipated business outcomes.

• Evaluate adoption, effectiveness, and return on investment.

• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Facilitate the transition of successful solutions from pilot phase to enterprise-wide implementation.

• Report to the Vice President of Retail Strategy and Innovation.

• Collaborate with Operations, IT, Business Intelligence, Training, Finance, Marketing, and field leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience in retail operations, business transformation, product management, process improvement, analytics, sales enablement, innovation, technology adoption, or a related field.

• Proven track record of identifying business challenges and creating practical solutions.

• Experience working directly with frontline employees, field leaders, customer-facing teams, or distributed operations.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect initiatives to measurable business outcomes.

• Experience leading projects that involve multiple stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

• Capability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

• Familiarity with using AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, customer experience, or business operations.

• Understanding of how prompts, workflows, instructions, and knowledge sources affect AI outputs.

• Ability to assess AI-generated results and enhance solution effectiveness through testing and iteration.

• A strong sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and innovations.

• Preferred: Experience in retail or another industry focused on frontline operations.

• Preferred: Background in supporting sales organizations or customer-facing teams.

• Preferred: Knowledge of customer experience, store operations, sales enablement, coaching, workforce management, CRM, or related business systems.

• Preferred: Experience leading pilot programs, change management initiatives, or enterprise adoption efforts.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, generative AI tools, automation platforms, or similar technologies.
