Senior Research & Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and carry out research studies aimed at evaluating biological, physiological, or engineering inquiries related to product development efforts.

• Formulate and apply experimental protocols, testing methods, and data analysis techniques to facilitate technical decision-making.

• Oversee technical investigations and troubleshooting processes to uncover root causes and address complex product or research obstacles.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, clinical, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Analyze and interpret experimental results, effectively communicating findings through technical reports, presentations, and design documentation.

• Assist in the development, verification, and enhancement of products, processes, and technologies from initial concept to commercialization.

• Offer technical expertise to research and development initiatives, including preclinical studies, clinical evaluations, or product performance assessments.

• Convert research findings and technical insights into viable product solutions that meet unmet clinical demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant research and development experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of applicable research and development experience, or a PhD in a scientific or engineering field.

• Proven experience in designing, executing, and analyzing scientific or engineering studies within a research and development context.

• Demonstrated ability to produce technical documentation, reports, and data-driven recommendations to aid product development decisions.

• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to promote research, product development, or technological initiatives.

• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a qualification that meets the criteria of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

• Candidates for positions below the Principal level must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hiring and throughout their employment.
