Senior Research Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the operations of research teams assigned to significant union campaigns and initiatives.

• Manage International research personnel while collaborating with International structures, Organizing leadership, and Local unions.

• Enhance research capabilities, methodologies, strategies, and tools to aid campaigns and initiatives.

• Recruit, train, assess, and provide support to research personnel.

• Direct and conduct strategic research within the Strategic Initiatives department.

• Formulate effective national organizing, political, and other high-priority campaigns.

• Assist union leaders with campaigns and initiatives.

• Execute strategies and tactics that bolster national union campaigns and initiatives.

• Collaborate with leaders and staff to devise organizing campaign strategies.

• Establish research networks within Local unions.

• Offer research support to SEIU State councils.

• Educate and train both International and Local staff on industry-related matters.

• Partner with elected leadership, union leaders, staff, members, and external labor and industry organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in union research and campaign efforts is preferred.

• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered, showcasing progressively more responsible positions.

• Knowledge of union-related research and campaign activities is essential.

• Proven experience in developing and leading research/campaign initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.

• Willingness to work long hours and travel as needed.

• Capability to work autonomously, lead projects, and supervise junior personnel.
