This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee pre-award processes and manage post-award activities.

• Provide comprehensive research administration oversight, encompassing personnel, payroll, budgeting, and operations management for large and intricate divisions/units.

• Supervise departmental research administration and pinpoint areas for improvement as well as solutions.

• Prepare, monitor, analyze, manage, and report on research division budgets.

• Train and supervise staff in the submission of grant and contract proposals.

• Manage submission and post-award processes for research or clinical trial studies.

• Supervise payroll operations, allocate payroll to appropriate sources, and implement systems for activity tracking.

• Oversee purchasing to maximize fund utilization.

• Prepare and manage annual salary planning processes.

• Communicate and implement policies and procedures for faculty and staff.

• Monitor compliance with both internal and external research policies and procedures.

• Maintain personnel records and manage employee scheduling, evaluations, and personnel matters.

• Review applications, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations.

• Review non-academic appointments and ensure appropriate job descriptions, titles, and salaries are maintained.

• Develop and implement decisions, policies, procedures, best practices, and innovations.

• Maintain efficient workflow processes and provide staff training.

• Address public relations issues and manage complaints.

• Serve as a liaison among the Department, School, University, external agencies, and collaborative institutions.

• Execute special projects for senior leadership.

• Organize and participate in meetings and conferences, as well as serve on committees.

• Maintain confidential files.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience that meets minimum education requirements.

• 7 years of experience in accounting.

• 3 years of experience in grants administration.

• Ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• Strong analytical thinking skills.

• Proficiency in computer literacy.

• Effective decision-making abilities.

• Capacity for independent judgment.

• Strong influencing skills.

• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.

• Methodical approach to problem-solving.

• Strong oral communication skills.

• Persuasive abilities.

• Proficient in spreadsheets.

• Experience in supervisory management.

• Competence in word processing.

• Strong written communication skills.

• No specific certification or professional license is required.

• A driver's license is not necessary.
