This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main financial advisor to Operations, collaborating closely with Business Unit Leaders, Division Managers, and Project Managers.
• Identify and spearhead initiatives that enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
• Create financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools to support strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness.
• Oversee the annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct pricing analysis and provide decision support.
• Perform budget-to-actual project reviews, focusing on client revenue and margin assessment.
• Analyze KPIs and communicate the factors driving results and significant variances.
• Clarify variances compared to the plan/budget and the previous year, utilizing presentation decks.
• Promote the adoption and engagement of business intelligence and reporting tools such as DOMO and HubSpot.
• Manage acquisition financial diligence and integration tasks.
• Supervise and mentor a Financial Analyst, including prioritizing tasks, managing performance, providing training, and guiding career development.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and create tools and templates, including pricing models.
• Utilize AI tools and emerging technologies to improve financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
• Collaborate with Project Accounting to ensure precise project financial reporting, revenue recognition, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Over 8 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
• Preferred experience in professional services, engineering, construction, consulting, environmental, or other project-based industries.
• Public Accounting experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficient in identifying root causes of business performance challenges and formulating actionable recommendations.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with business intelligence, analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo, Tableau).
• Proven ability to leverage AI-driven tools and emerging technologies to enhance analysis, reporting, forecasting, or process efficiency.
• CPA certification is preferred but not a requirement.
