
Senior Real-Time FX Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate directly within the Engine to develop and enhance real-time FX.
• Partner with the team to create effects such as fire, smoke, explosions, and fluid simulations.
• Develop libraries of Niagara particle effects.
• Take lighting and other integration strategies into account for the overall scene design.
• Utilize Unreal Engine and proprietary tools to produce FX assets.
• Support R&D initiatives for tool improvements and the prototyping of new technologies.
• Provide estimates for FX tasks to department and production leads, while identifying potential risks.
• Contribute to the design and optimization of FX tools and development workflows.
• Over 5 years of experience working with in-engine effects, ideally with Niagara.
• Expertise in 3D graphics, particle systems, physics, and shaders.
• Knowledge of VFX asset costs and their influence on performance.
• Strong understanding of animation principles and lighting techniques.
• Familiarity with real-time physics and fluid simulations.
• Capability to optimize content through profiling and enhancing performance using diagnostic tools.
• Skills in scripting and programming with Python, C#, JavaScript, and C++ are advantageous.
• Experience with Houdini is considered a plus.
