Senior R&D Engineer – Transformers Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Play an integral role in the development of technology, products, and solutions, along with associated Intellectual Property (IP).

• Act as the primary contact within the Research & Development team for specific product-related inquiries and maintenance tasks.

• Discover, suggest, and execute creative solutions that enhance business outcomes.

• Stay updated in a specialized domain by integrating the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies.

• Create innovative strategies for tackling complex engineering problems by brainstorming ideas, forming hypotheses, and establishing validation approaches.

• Record technical insights, designs, calculations, and project outcomes to promote knowledge sharing and ongoing improvement.

• Assist in generating Intellectual Property (IP) and aid in the formulation of project IP strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in electrical design, specifically in transformer design and development.

• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant industry standards, including UL, CSA, NEMA, IEEE, and IEC.

• Proficiency in utilizing simulation software for transformer design and analysis.

• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Customer-focused mindset with robust problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, transformer assembly, and the interpretation of test reports.

• A valid U.S. visa and passport are preferred.
