Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide support to clients engaged in intricate and high-stakes programs, initially focusing on the Water sector.

• Offer guidance to both public and private-sector clients regarding commercial, procurement, and supply-chain needs.

• Create and implement solutions for complex and evolving challenges alongside clients and supply-chain partners.

• Cultivate relationships with national infrastructure clients.

• Ensure clients derive maximum value from their supply-chain ecosystems.

• Share expertise in quantity surveying, commercial practices, and procurement processes.

• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Oversee performance management and support the development of individual team members.

• Engage stakeholders using effective communication tools to foster organizational support.

• Contribute to business development efforts and work acquisition activities, including bid writing, early contract engagement, and client relationship management.

• Produce and advise clients on the implementation of construction contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale programs and complex infrastructure projects.

• Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas, or within a UK Public Sector organization.

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction field, or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice.

• Membership or progress towards membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or another equivalent recognized organization.

• Familiarity with NEC, JCT, and FIDIC construction contracts.

• Capability to produce and advise clients regarding the application of construction contracts.

• Experience in line management or team leadership roles.

• Ability to provide clear guidance, manage performance, and facilitate individual development.

• Competence to operate in a client-facing setting alongside multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.

• Proficiency in engaging across complex stakeholder environments utilizing diverse communication tools.

• Willingness and capability to enhance technical and consulting skills.

• Experience in business development and securing work, including bid writing, pre-contract engagement, and client relationship management.

• Security clearance may be required; relevant offers will depend on obtaining this clearance.

• Proof of UK residency for five years or more may be necessary as part of UKSV vetting.
