Senior Quality Engineer – Automated Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and deconstruct complex product challenges into clear, well-defined test cases and testing strategies.

• Take ownership of quality engineering tasks from the design phase all the way to production launch.

• Contribute to Peek’s AI-driven engineering culture and document effective methodologies.

• Leverage AI tools like Claude Code, Augment, or similar to expedite implementation and critically assess outputs.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to identify specification gaps and highlight edge cases.

• Assertively indicate when a product is not ready for release.

• Set quality benchmarks through maintainable coding practices, thorough code reviews, and sufficient test coverage.

• Identify bugs introduced by AI prior to production deployment.

• Engage with Peek’s operational management suite, including scheduling and booking widgets, sales and support tools, and enterprise solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in QA Automation Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing automation projects in technology or SaaS settings.

• Proven track record in end-to-end test automation.

• Experience in creating and sustaining scalable test automation frameworks.

• Advanced proficiency with Playwright or comparable frameworks like Cypress or Selenium.

• Strong command of JavaScript.

• Familiarity with BDD / Gherkin syntax and its implementation.

• Experience in designing automation frameworks from the ground up.

• Comprehensive understanding of API testing and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD processes such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.

• In-depth knowledge of QA automation best practices, test design, framework maintainability, scalability, and architectural considerations.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development/testing tools like Claude, Cursor, Augment, or similar.

• A strong automation-first mentality and a passion for quality engineering.

• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and transparent work style.

• Ability to work efficiently across QA, Engineering, and Product teams.

• A curious, lifelong learner with a passion for technology.

• Comfortable sharing knowledge and providing mentorship to others.

• Mexican work authorization is required.
