Senior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional test coverage punctually by leveraging AI tools to enhance automation development.

• Develop and sustain automated testing frameworks and regression suites across user interface, application programming interface, and service layers.

• Take ownership of test planning and execution, from story validation to support during production releases.

• Evaluate and validate internally developed large language models (LLMs) as well as external AI tools and services.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to pinpoint quality risks and establish testable acceptance criteria.

• Act as the quality champion within the scrum team, providing expert technical testing guidance.

• Report on test status, coverage deficiencies, release risks, and defect trends to stakeholders.

• Create and adhere to best practices for defect documentation, triage, and tracking.

• Utilize AI tools to facilitate issue detection, reproduction, and resolution.

• Guide mid-level quality engineers through code reviews, collaborative sessions, and practical assistance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance within an Agile Scrum environment.

• More than 5 years of experience in building test frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.

• Practical experience with WebdriverIO or Playwright.

• Proficiency in manual, exploratory, regression, integration, API/services, and database testing.

• Familiarity with Git branching strategies, pull request workflows, and incremental CI/CD deployment pipelines.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

• Ability to engage actively in scrum ceremonies, highlight release risks and defect trends, and manage production escalation support.

• Industry experience in EdTech, SaaS/B2B software, or e-learning/online education platforms.

• Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Selenium.

• Familiarity with Jest, Vitest, or Mocha.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.

• Test execution utilizing GitHub Actions and AWS.

• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Sentry, or New Relic.

• Proficient in test management using TestRail, Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.

• Successful completion of a background check.
