Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Work closely with product managers and developers to grasp product requirements and design specifications.

• Create and put into action a comprehensive testing strategy along with detailed test plans.

• Write functional and integration test cases, coordinating reviews to uncover gaps and complex scenarios.

• Execute test cases, generate test reports, and share results with product and business stakeholders.

• Monitor and report on quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and counts of open defects.

• Design and establish a robust test automation framework.

• Take responsibility for testing, development of test scripts, and configuration management.

• Develop mocks and stubs for isolated component and integration testing.

• Serve as the primary liaison for Product Managers and Developers to ensure requirements are both testable and clearly understood.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.

• Over 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering.

• Demonstrated capability to create clear, concise, and thorough test plans and methodologies.

• Strong programming expertise in Java/TypeScript/JavaScript, with an emphasis on test automation.

• Extensive experience in testing APIs, microservices, mobile native applications, and web applications.

• Solid understanding of SQL, NoSQL databases, and pub-sub technologies.

• Proficient in working within Linux/Unix environments and cloud infrastructure (GCP, Docker).

• Experience in non-functional testing, covering performance, security, and monitoring/alerting.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Harness).

• Experience with Jira, test case management, Postman, Playwright/Selenium, and RestAssured.

• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
